Congress VenueStockholm City Conference Centre is conveniently located in central Stockholm, a ten-minute walk from the Central Station. It consists of two buildings; the former school Norra Latin and the new conference building Folkets Hus (People's Hall); situated 100 metres from each other between the square Norra Bantorget and the main shopping street Drottninggatan. To get from Stockholm Central Station (A) to the Stockholm City Conference Centre (B), just turn left on Vasagatan (the main street outside the railway station. After a few blocks you will have a small park on your left hand and the congress venue to the right. Registration the first day and the opening and closing ceremonies will be held in Folkets hus at the north side of the square while all panel sessions will be held in Norra Latin, the big house on the picture above, located on the east side of the square.
Note: If arriving with taxi to Norra Latin you reach the entrance via Barnhusgatan 7A. Smoking policyNo smoking will be permitted at any time inside the congress venue or inside during the evening events. On-site registration On-site registrations will be accepted, however availability of hotel accommodation and participation in the social programme at that time may be severely limited. Travel Grant Compensation of travel grants will take place at the registration desk on July 27-30 between 10.00-15.30 and Saturday between 10.00-13.30. Audio-visual equipmentSpeakers´ Ready Room(Room 360 at Norra Latin) The lecture halls will be equipped with PC with PowerPoint. Presenters are kindly requested to hand in their presentation on a usb-stick, to the technicians in the Speaker´s Ready Room, room 360 at Norra Latin, at least 3 hours prior your session starts. If your lecture is in the morning please leave your presentation the day prior your lecture. If you bring your own laptop, please be sure to visit the technicians before your lecture in order to ensure the right equipment is in place. The congress computers are equipped with Office 2003 and 2007. Please note that the Speaker's Ready Room will be open also on Monday afternoon for presenters in the panels I.01-I.23 that take place on Tuesday morning. Congress Staff Besides the secretariat staff who will be on hand to offer assistance at the congress, there will be a lot of student helpers. All of the students will be able to offer service in English, while many can help you in Russian, German, French or other languages. You will also be able to recognize them by their T-shirts with the congress logo.
