Visa

Participants needing a visa for entry to Sweden are strongly advised to make their application in their home country well in advance. If in doubt, information can be obtained from your nearest Swedish Embassy or Consulate or from your travel agency.

The Congress Secretariat provides Letters of Invitation to any individual making such a request (write to: info@iccees2010.se). Please note that a Letter of Invitation is necessary for obtaining a visa. often facilitates the procedure of obtaining a visa. The Letter is not a commitment on the part of the congress to provide financial support.

Simply call the reservation office of any participating Star Alliance member airline and quote the event code SK04S10. Airports and Airport transportation

Stockholm/Arlanda Airport can be reached from a total of 167 destinations, including 128 foreign airports and 39 Swedish airports. It's operated by 74 airlines, of which Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) has the largest number of non-stop connections. Stockholm/Arlanda Airport is located about 70 kilometres north of Stockholm City and there are several alternatives for you to get to and from the airport.

Arlanda Express is the train service that links Stockholm City with the Arlanda Airport (20 minutes trip). Book your Arlanda Express ticket in advance at the same time you register to the congress. MCI offers discounted tickets, one way SEK 200 (ordinary SEK 220) for travel with the Arlanda Express Train from Arlanda to the Central Railway Station in central Stockholm. Your confirmation letter will serve as a ticket when presented to the train conductor.

Taxi. We recommend that you request a fixed price from Arlanda Airport to the city, approximately SEK 500 (June 2009)

Coach/Bus. There is a direct bus connection from Arlanda Airport to the city. The trip takes 40 minutes and costs SEK 119 (June 2010). Visit the Flygbussarna web site for further information.

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is operated by budget airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air. It is situated 100 km south of Stockholm, 7 km northwest from Nyköping - right next to the main E4-highway. You can reach Stockholm Skavsta Airport by coach/bus, car, train or taxi.

Stockholm-Bromma City Airport has mostly domestic traffic but you can also reach Brussels from this central location. You can reach Bromma City Airport by coach/bus, car or taxi.

All air buses and the Arlanda Express train take you to City Terminal, "Cityterminalen", connected to the Central Railway Station, "Centralstationen".

By sea

There is daily ferry service between Stockholm-Helsinki and Stockholm-Turku. See:
